Let me tell you 'bout this Cyclops, he was his Mama’s only son.
He liked to play outside all day and have all kinds of fun.
Now most of us have two eyes, but the Cyclops had just one.
But he still liked to stand outside and stare up at the sun.

When he was just a boy his Cyclops mama used to tell him "Son,
You know I’ve got my eye on you, so go out and have some fun.
But please don’t let me see you, staring at the sun.
You’ve only got one eye my child, if you lose it you'll have none."

Now he's a blind (blind, blind) Cyclops, he's only got one eye.
He's a blind (blind, blind) Cyclops, I never see him cry.
He used to stare up at the sky, with his symmetrically centered eye,
now he's a blind (blind, blind) Cyclops, and I think he’s a heluva guy.

His mama always said, "Watch out, and boy I’ll tell you why...
It's always fun and games my son until somebody loses an eye"
So he never ran with scissors, he never had a BB gun.
But that poor guy he lost his sight, by staring too long at the sun.

Now he's a blind (blind, blind) Cyclops, he's only got one eye.
